The Hague – For the time being, there will not be a third tranche with money from the Netherlands for the island. Curaçao and Sint Maarten have not yet met the conditions of the second tranche of corona loans and are therefore excluded from a third corona loan for now.
That was decided today in the Council of Ministers of State, State Secretary Knops wrote in a letter to the Lower House. Curaçao will be postponed until September 1 to still meet the conditions of the previous loans.
The Netherlands does want to discuss the conditions package for a third tranche with the cabinet. They do not do that with Sint Maarten. They must first meet the conditions for the second tranche.
