Only eleven cases in a week.
FREIBURG (r). No new case of Sars CoV-2 infection was registered in Freiburg and the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district on Wednesday. It remains at 2080 cases, 962 in the city, 1118 in the district. In Freiburg, 76 people have died of and with Covid-19 since the pandemic began, in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald 63. There has been an additional death. However, the Freiburg area is still one of the counties in Baden-Wrttemberg that have reported the most infections so far.
But there is also good news: In the past seven days, only eleven people in Freiburg have been infected with the virus. With stable numbers, the city is entering the phase of new easing, which was announced on Wednesday. In future, the easing will be managed regionally. The authorities want to intervene if more than 50 new infected people per 100,000 inhabitants are reported in a week. This is how the Chancellor and Prime Minister decided. The “upper limit” for Freiburg is 115 cases in seven days. Most recently, this value was exceeded with 178 infections a week between April 4 and 11.
