No more taste or smell? “It’s like living under a bell jar, you miss a connection with the outside world”

Michèle Cuvelier, radio presenter at Studio Brussel, was infected with corona in September. One day she woke up and found that she didn’t smell or taste anything anymore. Michèle regained her smell and taste after a week, but lung specialist Kim Demuynck is less lucky. In April she got covid, and from one moment to the next she couldn’t smell anything. Eight months later, there is little improvement.
