Ajax has not yet contacted Lisandro Magallán. His Dutch agent Steinar Dietz from Essel Sports has informed Ajax Showtime about this. The Argentinian defender is rented to Alavés this season.
Magallán announced earlier this week that he will be returning to Amsterdam in the summer. There is still no clarity about Ajax’s intentions. “There hasn’t been a conversation yet,” said Dietz. “He is focusing on playing the Spanish league. It is not yet clear when the competition will resume. They may start again on June 12. As soon as that is clear, we will talk to Ajax.”
The question is whether there is still a future for Magallán in the Johan Cruijff Arena. Erik ten Hag has the necessary options in the back with Joël Veltman, Daley Blind, Lisandro Martínez, Perr Schuurs, Edson Álvarez and Jurriën Timber, who made his debut just before the corona stop.
