Nintendo Reportedly Not Hosting Direct in June, According to VGC Analyst

Even though this year’s E3 has been cancelled, we’re still expecting a slew of announcements and other exciting tidbits during late May and early June, thanks to the Summer Games Festival and other showcases for Xbox and PlayStation, though the latter hasn’t been announced at the time of writing. .

However, according to VGC’s Andy Robinson on Twitter, it appears that Nintendo may not be hosting a Direct within this time window. Robinson initially confirmed a report from Jeff Grubb that the Sony showcase would take place in late May-early June, but ended his tweet by saying that Nintendo wasn’t expected to do anything.

Of course, this month Nintendo will see its biggest release of the year in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but perhaps an early June Direct might tell us what else to expect for the rest of the year. However, Nintendo will be present at Gamescom in August, so we may have more information.
