Nintendo America Names Devon Pritchard Vice President of Marketing

The results of the titles that come into our hands do not always depend solely on their quality, or on the work and care that the always admirable development teams put into it. Sometimes what happens in offices also has a big impact on what we end up with on our consoles. Therefore, when in a branch with the specific weight of Nintendo of America there is movement, it is always worth being attentive. And there has been a movement of the fat people in the American headquarters of the big N.

Devon Pritchard Takes Over Marketing at Nintendo of America

For those who are more attentive to the organizational charts of the Japanese company, more specifically of its transatlantic headquarters, the name of Devon Pritchard already familiar to them. Not surprisingly, the board has been at Nintendo of America for 16 years, and until now she was executive vice president of business affairs and relations with publishers. For example, he has overseen the releases of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Nintendo Switch Sports. But that’s already the past. As of yesterday, Pritchard has become Executive Vice President of sales, marketing and communication. Everything related to commercial strategy in the United States and Canada becomes his responsibility. Doug Bowser himself, boss of Nintendo of America, endorses this appointment:

Doug Bowser (Nintendo of America): Devon’s years of leadership at Nintendo give him a deep understanding of our people, our products, and our fans. I have worked closely with her over the years and know she will use her brand awareness and unique skill set to help expand our markets, drive our agenda and grow our business through fresh ideas and inspired thinking that will help Nintendo to continue drawing smiles on the faces of our customers.

As fans of the big N, we can only hope that Devon Pritchard’s new assignment translates into the arrival of many great new titles for Nintendo Switch and the platforms that follow. Good luck, Mrs. Pritchard!
