Nîmes: Boulevard Victor Hugo closed to traffic during the last World Cup matches

The city of Nîmes confirms the closure of Boulevard Victor Hugo during the Morocco-Croatia telecast on Saturday 17 December at 4pm and the following day at the same time for the Argentina-France World Cup final.

To avoid any problems and to give football fans free rein to express their joy or not, boulevard Victor-Hugo will be closed on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December just before 4pm for the last two World Cups.

Thus, to allow the public to watch the television broadcast of the Morocco-Croatia match on Saturday and the Argentina-France final on Sunday on the terrace of the bars in safety, one of the main arteries of the city center will be closed to traffic, which will have a impact on Tango’s bus network as well.

The boulevard will be reopened once fans have seen the game and celebrated or not the trip of their favorite team. Boulevard Alphonse Daudet could also be closed to all vehicles depending on the crowds and of course the results of the matches.

In addition, a security system similar to that of Wednesday December 14 will be put in place in the districts of Pissevin and Mas de Mingue.
