Under the eyes of Roger Federer, vacationing in his chalet in Lenzerheide, the Swiss missed two of the twenty targets. Usually, the two biathletes are quite confident in shooting, however compared to the opposition, they were not unworthy.
The 15 km course with 500 m of altitude difference at 1400 m altitude requires particular qualities of cross-country skiers. Stalder crashed during the fourth of five laps after having been in the leading group for a long time. Hartweg, who was more consistent, ultimately finished better than his compatriot.
The Norwegians scored a hat-trick led by the great dominator Johannes Thingnes Bö.
Häcki-Gross far from the mark
Lena Häcki-Gross remained far behind during the mass start. The leader of the Swiss team had to settle for a very modest 17th place.
Too irregular in shooting with five errors in total, the Schwyzoise, the only Swiss competing on Sunday, was never really able to hold her place. Victory went to Justine Braisaz-Bouchet who had already won in the sprint and in the pursuit.
