“Nightmare Building Plot: Couple and 28 Others Left with Financial Hangover”

Gerty Willems (32) and her friend Doye (39) seemed to have found the perfect building plot two years ago in Oudenburg, near Ostend. But it turned into a nightmare. After their construction promoter disappeared from the radar, the couple, along with 28 other victims, are left with a severe financial hangover. Gerty tells her story here: “We suddenly saw a contractor stop at the construction site with his truck. He said he came to clean the house.”
