Modder Lance McDonald Reveals The Game’s Final Secret NieR: Automata – he discovered a secret cheat code that allows you to go to one of the endings and open bonus modes at the very beginning of the passage. He announced this on Twitter.
The authors of NieR: Automata have confirmed that this is indeed the game’s final secret. It took gamers three years and ten months to find it. The developers talked about its existence back in 2018, but they were looking for it for so long that fans began to think that the creators of the title were mistaken, and there is nothing new in NieR: Automata.
You can activate the code only after defeating the first boss, if you return to the location at a different time, it will not work. Having defeated the enemy, you need to stand between the barrels and enter the following combination on the gamepad: PS4 – while holding R2, press up, down, up, right, left, square, circle, triangle, cross; Xbox One – while holding RT, press up, down, right, left, X, B, Y, A.
The release of NieR: Automata took place in Japan in February 2017, and in March of the same year the game was released in the West. The title was originally only available on PlayStation 4 and PC, but in June 2018 it was also released on Xbox One.
