NFOŚiGW: Subsidies for the purchase of electric cars are not coming

The information from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management shows that 43 applications were submitted for the e-VAN program, which provides for co-financing the purchase of an electric delivery vehicle by entrepreneurs, for the amount of 2 million 293 thousand. PLN 507, plus over 150 active working forms – that is, in the process of being completed by applicants.

On the other hand, under the “Koliber” program aimed at SMEs licensed to transport people in road transport, there are still 20 active working forms, i.e. applications being completed by the beneficiaries – indicated the Fund

The call for applications started on June 26 this year. will last until July 31 or while funds are exhausted.

In mid-June, the Ministry of Climate and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management announced three new electromobility programs, addressed to various beneficiaries, for a total amount of nearly PLN 150 million. The programs: “Green Car”, “eVAN” and “Koliber” are part of a larger Green Investments Plan, which offers in 2020 the total available funding budget of approx. PLN 7.8 billion and the total impact of these programs on the economy is over PLN 22 billion.

The NFOŚiGW will pay the most for the purchase of electric delivery vehicles (up to PLN 70 thousand) and taxis (up to PLN 25 thousand). The additional payment for electricians for private use from the “Green Car” program will not exceed PLN 18,750. PLN 37.5 million from the NFOŚiGW funds is to be allocated.

Natural persons have a chance to receive subsidies up to PLN 18,750, with no more than 15 percent. eligible costs that will be incurred after May 1, 2020. There is one more important condition: the purchase price of an electric vehicle cannot exceed PLN 125,000. zł.

In turn, the “eVAN” program provides for subsidies for the purchase of an electric delivery vehicle by entrepreneurs. The budget of this program is PLN 70 million, which will go to companies willing to purchase electric vans (category N1). In total, it will be possible to subsidize 1 thousand. such investments. Subsidies of up to 30 percent are planned. eligible costs (up to PLN 70,000) for the purchase / leasing of electric vehicles and up to 50% of eligible costs, but not more than PLN 5,000 PLN for the purchase of a charging point with a capacity of up to 22kW – eligible costs that will be incurred after January 1, 2020.

The third program, “Koliber”, is aimed at micro, small and medium-sized enterprises licensed to transport people in road transport. PLN 40 million of support for the purchase / leasing of PLN 1,000 was reserved for it. electric taxis (M1 category) and 1 thousand. home wall box chargers. Applicants can apply for a grant of up to 20 percent. eligible costs (maximum PLN 25,000, with the maximum eligible cost of purchasing and installing a charging point PLN 150,000) or a loan. The cost eligibility period starts on January 1, 2020.

According to experts from the automotive industry, the program does not arouse much interest and is in fact very popular. In Slovakia, the subsidy program spread over 4 minutes, but an electric car could receive EUR 8,000 (approx. PLN 34,000), and a plug-in hybrid – EUR 5,000 (approx. PLN 21,000). The price threshold was set at EUR 50 thousand (ie PLN 214 thousand) and the amount allocated to the additional payments was approximately PLN 25.6 million.
