Before the NFL Schedule 2023 on September 7th with the Kansas City Chiefs duel against the Detroit Lions, the NFL Preseason 2023 is still on the program in August.
During these three weeks of “preseason,” all NFL teams play three test games.

NFL Preseason 2023 Start mit „Hall of Fame“-Game
The NFL Preseason opens each year with the Hall of Fame Game. It’s a great tradition.
It is always held on the Thursday before the newly elected Hall of Famers are inducted. This is always held at the “Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium” in Canton/Ohio.
This year the duel is Cleveland Browns vs. New York Jets. The game takes place on the night from Thursday to Friday (4 August) at 2 a.m. German time.
A week later, the real NFL Preason 2023 start will follow.

The game plan in the preseason is very variable. The teams involved determine their kick-off times individually – also in consultation with the regional TV stations.
Accordingly, there are some somewhat unusual kickoff times and games on Fridays and Saturdays.

The NFL Preseason 2023 RTL broadcast looks like this in detail: A total of three games will be shown live on the Nitro niche channel.
The kick-off will be on August 12th. Here RTL Nitro shows the Carolina Panthers game against the New York Jets. (Live coverage starts at 9:15 p.m., kickoff is at 10:00 p.m.).
On August 13, the second game of the preseason broadcast on RTL: New Orleans Saints against the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champion Quarterback-Superstar Patrick Mahomes. The game starts at 7 p.m., the live broadcast starts at 6:30 p.m.
The third game at “NFL Preasoson 2023 RTL” runs on August 26th. Again with the Chiefs, this time playing the Cleveland Browns. (Start of broadcast: 6:30 p.m., Kickoff: 7:00 p.m.).
The streaming service DAZN broadcasts the so-called “prime time games” in the NFL preseason, i.e. the encounters that take place at night in German time.
A total of five preparatory games are running at DAZN. This includes, for example, the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts on August 25 from 2:00 a.m. German time.
