NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Rams vs. Cardinals Preview, Odds, and Predictions

NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Patriots falling and Jags fly up

Mackenzie Salmon breaks down the biggest risers and fallers, and who are the real deal vs. frauds of the league.

The Los Angeles Rams (2-3) brush off a tough defeat and host the Arizona Cardinals (1-4), who are also seeking to rebound from a loss, in an NFC West matchup.

The Rams lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 23-14 last week. Cooper Kupp made his season debut with eight catches for 118 yards as he played alongside rookie sensation Puka Nacua, who had seven receptions for 71 yards and a score. Quarterback Matthew Stafford went 21-of-37 for 222 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cardinals lost to the Cincinnati Bengals 34-20. Joshua Dobbs committed three turnovers, throwing two interceptions and losing a fumble. Running back James Conner injured his knee in the matchup and will be out. There is still no timetable on when, or if, Kyler Murray will return.

The two teams split their showdowns last season with each team winning on the road. Los Angeles won 20-12 in Week 3 and Arizona got payback with a 27-17 win in Week 10.

Tyler Dragon: Rams 26, Cardinals 17

The Rams came out of a tough early season slate 2-3. That’s not bad for a team in the midst of a retool. Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua create a dynamic combination for the Rams. The Cardinals defense won’t be able to stop Kupp and Nacua. Plus, Arizona’s offense has to deal with Aaron Donald coming off a quiet game.

Victoria Hernandez: Rams 24, Cardinals 19

The Rams weren’t able to beat the defending NFC champions last week, but should be electrified enough with the dynamic duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua to capture the home victory. The Cardinals have been inconsistent and will be bruised and battered after losing their last two games by two scores.

Safid Deen: Rams 24, Cardinals 20

Cooper Kupp is back in the mix and that bodes well for Matthew Stafford and the Rams. While Arizona has played well at times this season, losing running back James Conner to a knee injury hurts the Cardinals’ prospects in this NFC West matchup.
