The New York Jets are hiring a coveted man as their new head coach!
Robert Saleh, who has been a candidate for the head coach position for several teams in the past few weeks, has been awarded a five-year contract with the New York Jets and is said to be loud “ESPN“give the team a new face”.
After a weak season, the jets are facing a rebuild. With an estimated cap space of over 70 million for the coming season and numerous draft picks in the first rounds, a total change should be made.
Saleh, who most recently worked as a defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, is taking Mike LaFleur with him to New York as the new offensive coordinator from his previous employer.
There was also praise for the commitment from the 49ers. Cornerback and ex-Super Bowl champion Richard Sherman praised the Jets move: “A great signing of the Jets! Congratulations!”
New coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars
And there is also a new head coach in Florida. The Jaguars sign Urban Meyer, he succeeds the sacked Doug Marrone.
Meyer has never worked in the NFL before, from 2012-2018 he successfully supervised Ohio State University, with which he won the National Championship in 2014. Like the Jets, the Jaguars also have free cap space and also have the first pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
The eccentric owner of the Jacksonville team, Shad Khan, has high hopes for the new head coach. “This is a great day for Jacksonville and the Jaguars fans. Urban Meyer is a leader and a winner who demands excellence and lets results speak for themselves,” the Jaguars said in a press release.
The @nyjets got a great one! Congrats to them!
