NFL: Dez Bryant quit his try with the Ravens without being able to sign a contract

Dez Bryant left his try with the Baltimore Ravens without a contract, reports ESPN.

It’s possible the Ravens could add Bryant at some point, but the source ofESPN said no deal would be imminent with the wide receiver.

Bryant, 31, has not played in the NFL since December 2017. Ravens officials have been silent about their interest in Bryant, but Baltimore has expressed enthusiasm for his young receivers. Miles Boykin, a tall, physical sophomore like Bryant, has had a strong start to training camp this week.

Bryant arrived in Baltimore on Monday and had to undergo two tests for COVID-19 before joining the team. Receiver Dwayne Harris also tested with Baltimore on Thursday.

The Ravens previously tried to sign Bryant in April 2018. However, he turned down a multi-year offer from the team because he wanted a one-year contract and a chance to prove himself, in hopes of securing a bigger long-term deal in 2019, according to Ed Werder ofESPN.

Bryant signed a one-year, $ 1.25 million contract with the New Orleans Saints in November 2018 before tearing an Achilles tendon during his first training session with the Saints.
