Neymar Junior trial for more big fish ends without conviction | All football

The high-profile court case between Neymar Junior and former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell ended without any intervention from the Justice Department.

Both Rosell and Neymar have been charged with bribery between individuals, with prosecutors demanding millions in jail terms and fines.

The courts have sought the testimony of another former FC Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and current Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

However, the case, brought by the Brazilian company DIS, was dismissed, according to Sport. The judge ruled that there was a lack of evidence. Their claim was that they should have received a percentage of Neymar’s transfer fee from Barcelona or Neymar when he moved from Santos as they owned some of his rights. DIS was ordered to pay the related legal fees to be paid by the other parties.

This is the third time Rosell has been accused of corruption related to Neymar’s transfer, the first of which led to his resignation from Barcelona. He has since been acquitted in any case, although he has been in custody for more than two years.
