Neymar threatened with a penalty of 10 matches due to being accused of racism against the player Olympique Marseille. The Brazilian star was declared clean and escaped sanctions.
Neymar was accused of racially insulting Marseille defender Hiroki Sakai at the time Paris Saint Germain fell 0-1 from L’OM in the French League which took place on September 13, 2020 at the Parc des Princes. The 28-year-old attacker allegedly referred to Sakai as “China s ***”.

With the issuance of this decision, Neymar and Alvaro escaped a 10-match ban. This amount is the maximum penalty for a player found guilty of racism on the field.
