President and DPP Chairman Tsai Ing-wen went to Zhonghe District, New Taipei City today (11) to preach “18-year-old citizenship”, but three party advocates made a scene to say not to provoke China. The leader was White Wolf driver Wang Jiancheng. Has multiple previous convictions. Tsai Ing-wen said in the evening that since she became president, she has always adhered to the attitude of “calm and not aggressive, rational and not provocative” in the face of the cross-strait situation.

Tsai Ing-wen said in a Facebook post that she and DPP New Taipei mayoral candidate Lin Jialong went to Zhonghe to tell everyone the importance of 18-year-old citizenship. Many 18-year-olds have great ideas and enthusiasm for Taiwan’s future. Participate in public affairs and hope to make Taiwan a better place together.

Tsai Ing-wen pointed out that there are more than 100 countries in the world that have adopted laws to protect 18-year-old citizenship, and Taiwan should be one of them. She believes that allowing young people to enjoy citizenship will definitely be exercised responsibly, making Taiwan’s democracy more exciting.

However, in the middle of Tsai Ing-wen’s speech, three people who promoted the party made a scene, shouting that Tsai Ing-wen should not provoke China, do not provoke war, and want peace on both sides of the strait. The security guard at the scene immediately stopped and took the person away from the field. The people at the scene shouted, the President, come on.

Tsai Ing-wen said that since she became president, she has always adhered to the attitude of facing the development of the cross-strait situation, that is, “calm and not aggressive, rational and not provocative”. She said that China’s military exercise this time is its unilateral and irresponsible act that endangers regional peace and stability.

Tsai Ing-wen emphasized that our country will not provoke or escalate conflicts, but will use the most calm and composed attitude to increase vigilance and face challenges. This is the attitude that Taiwan, as a responsible member of the region, should show.

Tsai Ing-wen pointed out that Taiwan is a democratic country and can have different opinions, but they should also respect and tolerate each other. The people expressing dissent on the spot are also part of Taiwan’s democracy. She said that democracy did not fall from the sky. This opportunity to express opinions freely is the result of the sacrifice and dedication of many democratic predecessors to fight for democracy. We should all cherish it and ensure Taiwan’s democracy and freedom.

Tsai Ing-wen said that just as the DPP fought for 18-year-old citizenship since 1996, we will work together to push Taiwan’s democracy a step further. Please vote for the constitutional revision at the end of the year to support 18-year-old citizenship.
