Newcastle United sack Steve Bruce this week?

Steve Bruce reportedly about to be fired by Newcastle United soon. The Magpies management immediately looked for a replacement.

Sky Sports reported that Amanda Staveley, the new Newcastle director, met Bruce and the players on Monday (11/10). This meeting was originally planned for last Friday, but was canceled because the squad was on holiday at the time. Staveley also spent the weekend in London.

It was not stated what was discussed with Bruce and the players, but the 60-year-old manager is reportedly set to be released this week and will not lead Jamaal Lascelles et al against Tottenham Hotspur in the eighth week of the Premier League this season, Sunday (17/10).

Temporary Newcastle looking for a replacement for Bruce, Graeme Jones who is Bruce’s assistant will be the caretaker, leading the team at home to the Spurs.
