New York Marathon returns in 2021 with reduced capacity – Prensa Latina

After the cancellation of the 2020 edition, registered runners had the option to claim a refund of their ticket or exchange it for guaranteed access to the 2021, 2022 or 2023 competitions, so the organizers hope that part of those will attend. participants.

The marathon director, Ted Metellus, also stressed that the 50th anniversary of the event will be commemorated, which is the penultimate of the year in the calendar of the Great Marathons (World Marathon Majors), an international athletics competition created in 2006.

In addition to the New York fight, the event is made up of the Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and Tokyo marathons (since 2013), in that order.
