New York Knicks Defeat Milwaukee Bucks with Jalen Brunson’s 38 Point Performance

Denver achieves a 5th success in a row

It was the match of the evening, between the last two champions and two of the NBA’s in-form teams. And the poster kept all its promises. But the Nuggets ended up making the difference in the last quarter to win (120-114) against Golden State. A 5th victory in a row, the 22nd of the season, which allows the Colorado players to return to the level of the Timberwolves at the top (22-10) of the Western Conference, with four more defeats, however. Overall in the lead for a large part of the match, Denver nevertheless played to scare itself.

Led as often by a great Nikola Jokic, author of 26 pts (4/12 shooting, but 18/18 shooting), 14 rebounds and 8 assists, the Nuggets quickly took the lead (26-17 after 10 minutes) but the Warriors bench, like an Andrew Wiggins 13 to 3pts) and his team in the wake of the reigning champion, to the point of taking the lead and even leading at the start of the money-time (103-102 5 minutes from the end).

But, like the symbol of a major five which did almost everything on its own (105 of the 120 points were scored by the holders), Denver relied in the last minutes on Nikola Jokic and especially Jamal Murray, top scorer in the match with 28 points (at 10/18 including 3/5 at 3pts) and author of 7 of the Nuggets’ last 12 points to definitively push back the Warriors, still 10th (15-15) in the Western Conference.
