Several Israeli ministers took part in the annual “Celebrate Israel” parade in New York on Sunday, after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
About 40,000 participants took part in the parade on Fifth Avenue, including Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz, Immigration and Absorption Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata and Diaspora Minister Nachman Shai.
MPs Gilad Karib, Ofir Akunis and Inbar Bezeq and Knesset Director General Gil Segal were also present, as well as senior officials from the American administration.
Fifth Avenue in Manhattan was filled with blue and white flags in the colors of Israel and thousands of people stood on the side of the road to cheer the people marching.
