New York equities: Dow moves back within striking distance of record high

The prospect of an early start of vaccinations against Covid-19 and a multi-billion dollar aid package for the US economy drove the share price on Wall Street at the beginning of the week. The Dow Jones Industrial advanced on Monday by 0.72 percent to 30,261 points. Not much was missing in early trading for another record high for the stock market barometer.
