The United States has promised a new $ 600 million military aid package to Ukraine. The White House said in a statement Thursday. It is not very clear what kind of weapons the US will supply Ukraine. The latest military aid package includes “military equipment, services and training,” according to the White House. More details are not known. Since the war began, Ukraine has received more than $ 15 billion in military aid from the United States.
The besieged country has asked the Washington government for missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers. Those could be used to hit the bridge connecting the Crimean peninsula to Russia. So far the United States has refused to do this.
Ukraine already has missiles with a range of 70 kilometers. Moscow warned the US on Thursday, saying any long-range missile delivery could lead to a “direct military confrontation between Russia and NATO states”.
