New theory: The pilot left false traces

It’s still a mystery what happened to Malaysia Airlnes’ MH370, which disappeared without a trace in 2014, 40 minutes after it took off. Many have tried to find the answer to what happened to the plane on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing and the 239 people on board, but without success.

Nor did a multi-year Australian-led exploration in a 120,000-square-kilometer area in the Indian Ocean lead to an answer. An American company resumed the search for the wreckage in 2018, but ended after a couple of months of fine combing of the seabed without result. Now, however, aviation engineer Richard Godfrey comes up with a new theory, writes Australian News.com.

For several years, Godfrey has been trying to find the answer to what happened. The engineer’s conclusion arouses great interest. He claims that pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah deliberately took a carefully planned route with several embedded turns precisely to avoid leaving traces of the plane, and along the way left “false tracks”.

Claims detailed planning

Godfrey has recreated the latest moves made by MH370, using a global network of radio signals. The aviation engineer has, among other things, used data from the aircraft’s satellite telephone in the survey.

According to Godfrey, the plane’s change in direction and speed shows that the pilot tried to make it impossible to track. According to the engineer, the aircraft’s movements indicate detailed planning from start to finish.

The conclusion is in stark contrast to a report that came in 2018. It said that the course of the aircraft was changed manually by someone on board, but beyond that it was not possible to conclude. An investigation of the background of everyone in the crew and all the passengers did not give any clear answers either, according to the report.

It was finally established that the cause of the disappearance is still unknown, but that the plane must have made a manual U-turn after leaving Kuala Lumpur. It was also revealed that there is not enough information to find out if the plane broke in the air or in a collision with the sea, according to Independent.
