In order to allow the realization of the Sport health course, 600 meters will be arranged between rue des Fossés Saint-Marcel and boulevard de l’Hôpital.
This project was adopted as part of the participatory budget in 2021. This is a device which consists in that a quarter of the investments of the city of Paris are decided by Parisians.
The revegetation and the establishment of a sports course between 2 and 56 boulevard Saint-Marcel involve:
200² additional green space:
– 30 planters (193.2 m²) are taken over in order to re-vegetate them and embellish them
– 8 planters are created along the sidewalk
3 times more bike anchors:
– 10 sports equipment are created (Elliptical trainer, abs bench, traction rack, etc.)
– 36 spaces for cars are removed
– 50 bicycle hoops will be created (in addition to the 15 existing bicycle hoops, so there will be 65 in total)
– 18 scooter spaces maintained
Fun and sports facilities:
– Floor markings for children
– 10 apparatus for adults (elliptical trainer, Taï chi wheel, abs bench, etc.)
Maintained delivery and motorcycle parking areas:
– 12 motorcycle spaces will be created
2 times more parking spaces for people with reduced mobility:
– 1 disabled place is maintained
– 4 parking spaces are created for people with disabilities
The work should last from April 17 to July 15.
