The Board will carry out, between today and tomorrow, a second shipment of about 23,000 protection material units for the city of A Coruña. In total, there are 7,746 masks, 15,000 gloves and 123 suits. The Galician Government already distributed in a first shipment of protective material 15,492 masks, 30,000 gloves and 246 suits.
Along with this action, new shipments of material to city councils are also planned between today and tomorrow, to distribute a total of 98,773 new protection units: 61,500 gloves, 36,576 masks, 697 suits, 304 5-liter hydroalcoholic gel bottles and 489 liters of bleach.
The delegate of the Government in Galicia, Javier Losada, has confirmed that this Monday the Xunta de Galicia has received nearly 60,000 tests that correspond to our community and that the state is distributing throughout the territory.
They are part of a batch also composed of 39,000 masks in addition to the 117,000 already deposited yesterday in the Sergas warehouses for its management by the Department of Health. Equipment for the most vulnerable population, nursing homes and hospitals.
“It is a series of items, masks, leggings, glasses, gowns, hydroalcoholic material, which will continue to arrive in the coming days, because the government has acquired enough to give the autonomous communities all the necessary material”, Javier emphasizes Losada, delegate of the Government in Galicia.
With this latest delivery and according to data from the Government Delegation, there are already about 1,678.00 units of sanitary equipment.
