The new season of Better late than never is set in Nepal, South Korea and Cambodia. Participants Edwin Rutten, Ad Visser, Henny Huisman and Frits Barend left Monday together with presenter Estavana Polman for the recording of the program.

The four TV icons are looking forward to the journey. Barend (76) is most looking forward to Cambodia, because of the country’s history. He refers to the past of the Khmer Rouge and the regime of Pol Pot.

Seeing Mount Everest is Huisman’s (72) dream. He also hopes to witness a public cremation, because he finds it special how people in other countries deal with death.

Visser (76) would like to visit the Angkor Wat Cambodian temple complex. Even if it wants 76-year-old TopPopicon can be surprised during the journey. Eighty-year-old Rutten, better known as Ome Willem, is curious about the different rituals, customs and local music.

For Estavana Polman, who is making her debut as a presenter, a dream has come true. “To make an unforgettable road trip with this travel company is something I can cross off my bucket list. I have now met this iconic foursome and I have a taste for more,” said the well-known handball player.

The new season can be seen on SBS6 from August 30.
