New Rules Will Be Issued, Quarantine Period from Overseas Only 3 Days

Jakarta

The COVID-19 Task Force will issue new rules regarding the quarantine period for travelers from abroad. From five days, it will be reduced to three days.

“Regulation for International Travelers (PPI), the implementation of quarantine is enforced for 3 days, for PPIs who have met the requirements. The provisions regarding this quarantine will soon be stated in the amendment to SE KaSatgas Number 20/2021 to be implemented immediately,” said the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs. Airlangga Hartarto in a written statement quoted by detik.com, Tuesday (2/11/2021).

The 3-day quarantine policy only applies to people who meet the requirements such as complete vaccination (2 doses), negative PCR test results upon departure, arrival, and when quarantine will be completed.

As for Domestic Travelers (PPDN), they can use the results of the antigen test (H-1) for those who have been vaccinated twice, or the results of the PCR test (H-3) for those who have just been vaccinated once. Thus, the use of the Antigen test results can be used for both the Java-Bali and Outside Java-Bali communities.

“However, it must continue to be monitored from time to time, and if there is a spike in cases, it can be followed up immediately,” said Airlangga.

Joint supervision needs to be carried out in the implementation of health protocols (prokes), considering that various major activities will be carried out in the near future. For example the National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) in Papua, World Superbike (WSBK) in Mandalika, Badminton (Indonesia Masters, Indonesia Open, and BWF World Tour Finals) in Bali.

This also applies to a series of events at the G20 Meeting which will be held in Bali. The event is slated to start in early December 2021.
