Due to the growing number of coronavirus infections, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the introduction of new restrictions. They are to enter into force next Saturday, November 7, and will be in force at least until November 29.

Trade Restrictions
Restrictions also apply to trade. Among other things, there will be changes in the calculation of people limits in shops – 1 person per 10 square meters in outlets with an area of up to 100 square meters and 1 person per 15 square meters in stores with an area of more than 100 square meters.

Shops in shopping malls will be closed. Despite the restrictions, establishments are to remain open, where the main activity consists in the sale of food, cosmetics, toiletries, cleaning products, medicinal products, newspapers or books, articles for pets, telecommunications services, parts and accessories for motor vehicles or motorcycles, fuel .

DIY stores will be open
The exception also applies to establishments offering renovation and construction products and furniture. This means that you will be able to shop in stores such as Ikea, Leroy Merlin, or Castorama and OBI.

Coronavirus in Poland
The Ministry of Health announced 27,086 new cases of coronavirus infection on Friday. This is the second highest daily balance since the beginning of the epidemic in Poland. The ministry also informed about the death of 445 people who were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
