The accommodation offer of the Zec des Passes, north of Lac-Saint-Jean, has been improved thanks to the establishment of three new ready-to-camp units offered on its territory.
The new accommodation units were inaugurated on Thursday afternoon. According to zecthey were carried out in compliance with the territorial consultations, as well as according to the requests of the community partners.
They will allow lovers of the outdoors, hunting and fishing to extend their stay in the zec.
This project was carried out in a spirit of sustainable development. This is a great opportunity to put in place the necessary infrastructure for sound management of the resource and to better direct visitors to compliant, ecological and safe sites. The addition of interactive information panels greatly improves the dissemination of information confirming the importance of promoting good practices in the forest and recognizing the ancestral culture of the territory.
