For decades there has been a discussion in Golling about how to defuse or relocate the level crossing with barriers in Wasserfallstrasse. The barrier on the busy railway line is closed for several hours a day, and it is damaged several times a month. In the past four years alone, around 20 documented accidents have been recorded, according to the ÖBB.
