New Photos of Spain’s Royal Family on Holiday in Mallorca

On special occasions, new photos of royals are often shared – and summer is a golden opportunity there. The Norwegian royal family split earlier this summer more photos taken on holiday in Northern Norway, for example.

And now Spain’s royal family is following suit, with brand new photos of the family of four.

About the princess: – Quite unacceptable

Suddenly adults

The pictures are according to People taken on sunny Mallorca, a Spanish island which for many Norwegians is a very popular holiday destination. The royals also seem to be enjoying everything the island has to offer.

In the pictures, Queen Letizia (50) and King Felipe (55) can be seen walking side by side with their two daughters Princess Infanta Sofia (16) and Princess Leonor (17).

The royal family is surrounded by lush surroundings as they are located in the Jardines de Alfabia – a popular garden on the west side of the island.

Se og Hør’s royal house expert Caroline Vagle, however, notices that the daughters have grown quite a bit – and are now taller than their mother, Queen Letizia.

– Wow, how time flies! The two cute little girls are “suddenly” almost adults, and have both outgrown their mother. The family is really entering a new era, which I guess is sad for King Felipe and Queen Letiza, says Vagle to Se og Hør.

Must be in the defense

Princess Leonor, who is also Europe’s youngest crown princess, will join the armed forces in August, where she will be for three years. The Spanish royal house announced it in March.

– While the eldest daughter is going to the armed forces, the youngest is going to school abroad. In other words, the castle will soon be empty of young people. Our own crown prince couple have recently put their words to precisely this life situation, and have said that they dread until all the children are out of the house. It is probably something that many parents can identify with, Vagle continues.

Raser: – Will take them

In connection with the 50th birthday, Crown Prince Haakon recently stated that it was one of the things he was least looking forward to when he turned 50 – the children moving out.

– We are used to having such a youth center here, where it is full of young people, who hang out and watch movies or eat pizza. We think it’s really nice to have a lot of life. It is clear that there will be a transition when the system operator moves out, he told NTB.
