The 308 third generation, before Peugeot of the new course that will lead to the debut on logo presented a few days ago, will be officially presented next week, March 18, with a world premiere. Therefore, we must rightly believe that the specimen captured by the spy photos that we propose here is the definitive version of the model called to renew the challenge to Volkswagen Golf and the other best sellers in the C segment.
The previous spy photos they showed prototypes with very opaque camouflage camouflage that barely hinted at the general shapes. These new snaps instead give us a clean view of the front that looks truly stunning. The front fascia has been completely redesigned compared to the outgoing model and is obviously inspired by the new ones 508 e 208.
The brand multiplies
The revamped Peugeot crest not only adorns the grille framed by the headlights with “moon fangs” but is also visible on the fenders. A solution that may actually still be provisional.
Indeed, judging by the side skirts visually connected to the bumper extensions, the black alloy wheels and the side mirror caps, this one looks like a new GT or GT Line version. Which, however, should have a specific badge also shown on the sides, as usual.
Even more gritty
Unfortunately these shots do not provide a clear view of the rear, which has remained covered by the tarpaulin but which should emphasize the already captivating lines of the 208.
However we can glimpse the aggressive design of the diffuser with the integrated oval tailpipes, another clue that suggests how this could actually be the sporty set-up in its almost final form.
