New parts of the express train in the Lublin region. The bypass of Kock and Wola Skromowska will be provided with second carriageways. It will be cheaper than GDDKiA assumed

About PLN 20 million can be saved by GDDKiA on the extension of the Kock and Skromowska beltway. It is about the addition of a second carriageway over a section of almost 8 km. Offers of road companies competing for the contract range from PLN 183 to 279 million.

This is good news for drivers. It’s about the S19 route. GDDKiA found out on Friday (October 8) how much the expansion of the bypass of Kock and Wola Skromowska will cost. It is about adding a second carriageway over a distance of 7.8 km.

GDDKiA reserved PLN 203.6 million for this purpose. Six companies are competing for the contract, four of which have estimated the cost of the works at an amount lower than at the disposal of the contracting authority. The lowest bid was submitted by POLAQUA. He wants to receive PLN 183.4 million for his work, which is PLN 20 million less than GDDKiA intended to spend.

Mota-Engil Central Europe calculated the costs at PLN 188.9 million, the consortium led by Mostostal – PLN 189.8 million and Budimex – PLN 201.2 million. The most expensive offer was made by Strabag – PLN 279.8 million.

– This bypass will change from single-lane to two-lane in both directions – said Mirosław Czech, director of the Lublin branch of GDDKiA at the time of the announcement of the tender for works.

The winner of the tender will have to prepare a design and then carry out road works. They mainly include the construction of a second carriageway. Moreover, the connectors of the existing junctions: “Kock Północ” and “Kock Południe” will be corrected. Two bridges and two viaducts will be built, as well as roads serving the adjacent area and passages for small animals.
