Opel presents the Corsa restyling, bringing the small car into line with the design of its larger counterparts. The most significant novelty is the introduction of the Vizor front, which radically transforms the appearance of the muzzle. But there are also important innovations on the powertrain front: the new Corsa adopts 48-volt hybrid technology for the first time and presents an enhanced and more efficient version of the electric powertrain.

For the Corsa Electric, Opel has introduced the new powertrain of the Stellantis Group, which features an uprated 156hp motor and 54kWh battery. This makes it possible to reach a Wltp approved range of 402 kilometers and to be recharged in direct current with a power of 100 kW. According to the manufacturer’s statements, it is possible to go from 20% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes. A 136hp version will also be available, offering an extended range of up to 357 kilometres.

As for internal combustion engines, it will debut the 48 volt mild hybrid solution for the 100 and 136 HP petrol engines, combined with an automatic dual-clutch gearbox. Opel has not yet provided complete fuel consumption and performance figures for these variants.

The endowment of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) is then expanded, with the introduction of features such as adaptive cruise control, Flank Guard, automatic braking system with pedestrian detection and a new high-resolution panoramic rear view camera.

And finally….How much will it cost? Probably only around 17 thousand euros!
