New offers for seniors in Graz – city portal of the provincial capital Graz

With a program that is open, easily accessible and mostly free of charge, the Senior:innensommer is starting again after a two-year break. “The program is created together with volunteer seniors. This participatory approach is unique and also helps to get people out of isolation and loneliness,” says Sandra Schimmler and explains further: “An essential part is also digital participation. We have that reacts and offer corresponding courses in the monthly program.” Of July 12th to September 13th the summer program of hikes, excursions, culture, city trips and more takes place. The program folder will soon be available in the seniors’ office and in the municipal service points, will be available online or can be requested by e-mail at [email protected]. Older people (55+ or retired) with their main residence in Graz can register from July 5 by telephone on 0316 872-6391 to -6393 or in person at Stigergasse 2 (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
