The famous “skyline” of Manhattan can be seen from next fall (boreal) from a new viewpoint. The attraction called The Summit sits atop the 427-meter-tall One Vanderbilt skyscraper near Grand Central Station in Midtown Manhattan.
According to the New York tourist office, the viewpoint will allow, among others, views of the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building and Central Park. To generate even more excitement, the platform floor is made of glass. The official opening is scheduled for October 21.
In New York there are already some well-known viewpoints, such as the Observation Deck of the Empire State Building, the One World Observatory on the One World Trader Center, Top of the Rock on the Rockefeller Center and The Edge at Hudson Yards.
