Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, a new airport in east China’s Shandong Province, officially entered service on August 12, the Qingdao Airport Group said.
The airport is rated at 4F, the highest airport level capable of accommodating large planes in China, including the Airbus A380, the world’s largest airliner, the group said. At the same time, due to the commissioning of the new airport, Qingdao Liuting International Airport was closed.
