Again Hollywood Reporter reports, the new Shyamalan film was able to make it over the opening weekend $14.2 million import. This makes the horror thriller the new number one in the cinema charts before Avatar 2.
Still, for the director of films like The Sixth Sense, Signs and Split, the result is a bit of a setback. With this number, Knock at the Cabin provides that lowest starting gross to date in Shyamalan’s career.
In Knock at the Cabin, a family of three is ambushed by four strangers in a cabin in the woods. The intruders claim a sacrifice of the family’s choosing. Otherwise threatens the end of the world through the apocalypse.
