Scientific research continues to advance. Now we talk about a “Oral vaccine”, a pill that would serve as a booster for people who already have the complete vaccination schedule. It is being developed in Israel in the Oramed laboratories.
The “oral vaccine” comes from Oramed Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-phase pharmaceutical company focused on developing oral drug delivery systems, and just a few days ago it received the go-ahead for several updates for its majority-owned company. Oravax Medical Inc.
Oravax is the sole proprietor of a virus-like particle vaccine technology that targets three surface proteins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, including proteins less susceptible to mutation, which makes that the vaccine is potentially effective against current and future variants of COVID-19.
It is being tested in preclinical studies against different variants of COVID-19, including the Delta variant. I don’t need cold, nor do nurses have to administer it. It would be a booster shot, something the WHO has been working on and thinking about how to address this situation.

For months now, experts have believed that booster vaccines for both the general population and the population at risk. If successful, an oral vaccine would offer huge logistical, financial and environmental benefits for billions of people who might receive it, particularly in parts of the world where access to health care is limited.
