Darmstadt: Kolmer receives one vote more than the future coalition

37 votes were cast for Kolmer. That is one more vote than the Greens, CDU and Volt have in the city parliament. The three factions are striving to form a coalition. A corresponding coalition agreement is to be presented to the political bodies of the parties in July.

According to a communication from the city, Kolmer will in future be responsible for the environment, urban planning, surveying, building supervision, mobility, green spaces and climate protection. Only Kolmer’s application had been submitted to the election preparation committee of the city council.

Uli Franke (Linke) and Helmut (Uwiga), on the other hand, said they would have preferred a city or traffic planner instead of an economic developer. Franke even said: “We don’t have the feeling that Kolmer is suitable for this task.”

The parliamentary group chairmen Hildegard Förster-Heldmann (Greens) and Roland Desch (CDU) confirmed this on Wednesday upon request.
