New fuel rules apply for another 9 days, 3 types of fuel banned from 1 January 2023

JAKARTA, RADARKAUR.CO.ID -Moving closer, the new BBM regulations apply in another 9 days. The next 3 types of fuel are banned as of January 1, 2023.

Saleh Abdurrahman was affirmed as a committee member of the downstream oil and gas regulatory body (BPH Migas) on Tuesday 25th October 2022.

Saleh Abdurrahman confirmed the information that 3 types of fuel are banned for sale in Indonesia as of 1 January 2023.

“As of January 1, 2023, 3 types of fuel are banned from trading in Indonesia. So that only RON 90 and above can circulate. Meanwhile, RON below 87, 88, 89 can no longer circulate,” Saleh Abdurrahman said.

The decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources n. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 becomes a new BBM regulation which prohibits the trading of 3 types of BBM in Indonesian territory.

The decision also refers to the previous regulation, namely the decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources number: 37.K/HK.02/MEM.M/2022 concerning types of fuel oil for special purposes.

The Ministerial Decree has decided to make changes to the type of fuel allocation. If previously BBM was RON 88 (Premium), with the new BBM regulations, the allocation has been changed to BBM RON 90 (Pertalite).

The impact of changing Premium (RON 87 and RON 88) and Revvo 89 to 3 types of fuel cannot be marketed in Indonesia.
