Two new civilizations

• Burgundy – Experience the rise of a small duchy to the jewel of Western Europe through economic power, cultural masterpieces and the use of advanced military technology and tactics. The Burgundians’ special unit is the Coutilier, a cavalry unit that uses a powerful shock attack when riding into battle.
• Sicilians – Take advantage of the diverse cultures and fighting spirit of this lynchpin of the Mediterranean as you build one of the most contested kingdoms of medieval Europe to greatness. The special unit of the Sicilians is the Serjeant, a robust infantry unit that can build the defensive Donjon.

Three new campaigns with full soundtrack

• Edward Longshanks – A bitter hostage to rebellious barons, Edward Longshanks vows to reclaim his birthright and lead a divided England to unprecedented prestige and strength. The merciless methods of this shrewd commander and shrewd politician are still considered to be as effective as they are amoral. Join him as his thirst for power and fame takes him through England, Wales, Scotland and even on a crusade! In this campaign you will play as the British.
• The Grand Dukes of the West – For decades the wily Dukes of Burgundy, with all their fighting skills and immense wealth, have been embroiled in a bloody battle for control of the maddened King of France. However, as the blood they spill is paid for in their own blood, their gaze increasingly turns north, where they want to found their own kingdom. In this campaign you will play as the Burgundy.
• The Hautevilles – Robert Guiskard left Normandy in 1047 with a small band of robbers.
