Health Canada on Wednesday added hand sanitizers to its list of recalled products because they could pose health risks.

The recall concerns batches of Biogel hand sanitizers, from Groupe Savon Olympic Inc.
The lot numbers in question begin with “0C, 0D9, 0E9 and 0F9” and carry the product number 80098684.
The product “may contain an unacceptable ingredient, methanol or ethyl acetate,” Health Canada warned in a statement.
Since last June, more than 145 kinds of disinfectants have been recalled by the ministry.
