The Mandarin Oriental, Munich has appointed Phillip Mayer as the new Director of Marketing and Commerce. He succeeds Swen Ehlender. With 13 years of professional experience in the luxury hotel industry, Mayer has a wide range of skills in all of the hotel’s key departments. The native Austrian gained experience in well-known hotels such as the Castellani Park Hotel, the Fuchspalast and Disneyland Paris.
Phillip Mayer has been part of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group since 2011, where he successfully worked as Sales Manager and Assistant Director of Sales at Mandarin Oriental, Paris until 2015. Until recently he held the position of Director of Sales at the Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park in London. There he played a key role in the repositioning and relaunch of the luxury hotel.
