At the end of the investigation about the disclosure of the MIT members and their activities, which were launched upon the criminal complaint of the MIT Presidency by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, 6 of them were arrested and 1 of the 8 suspects indictmentwas sent to the Istanbul 34th High Criminal Court.
Court delegation accepted the indictment. It is expected that the text will be released regarding the lawsuit filed, which includes information about when the hearings will be held.

In the indictment, the 328/1 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) of 8 suspects, including arrested journalists Barış Terkoğlu and Barış Pehlivan. from the crime of “disclosing information that must remain confidential in nature in terms of the security or domestic or foreign political benefits” of the state, from five years to ten years, “information on intelligence activity” as per article 27 of the State Intelligence Service and National Intelligence Service Law and they are sentenced to four to ten years’ imprisonment.
At the request of the prosecutor’s office, Istanbul Sentry Magistrate Criminal Court of Peace had issued a warrant for arrest suspect Erk Acarer.
