ALTAN’S LAWYER MOVED TO THE COURT OF APPEAL
Ahmet Altan’s lawyer took the decision to the Court of Appeal and demanded that the conviction be overturned. Istanbul Regional Courthouse Court 3 Criminal Department, where the file came from, decided on the file. The Chamber upheld the judgment established by the Istanbul 26th High Criminal Court on the grounds that it was in accordance with the procedure and the law. The apartment took this decision unanimously.
Ahmet Altan has the right to appeal this decision upheld before the Court of Appeal before the Court of Cassation.
