New privacy options at whatsapp: From now on you can use the data protection settings to regulate in more detail who can see your personal data from your contact list and who cannot. More precisely, this is about the “last seen” stamp, your profile photo, your info content and of course your status.
The following options are available:
- Everyone: Your “last seen” timestamp, profile picture, info or status are visible to all WhatsApp users.
- My contacts: Your last seen timestamp, profile picture, about or status is only visible to the contacts in your address book.
- My contacts except…: Your last seen timestamp, profile picture, about or status is visible to all contacts in your address book except those you exclude here.
- Nobody: Your last seen timestamp, profile picture, about or status is not visible to anyone.
