Since the beginning of the epidemic, PGG has infected 3,175 people, five more than on Saturday. So far, 2,439 miners have recovered (i.e. approx. 77%), eight more than on Saturday. Currently, 736 people are ill – most in the Bielszowice and Chwałowice mines. There are 870 employees in quarantine.
The number of infected in JSW did not increase – it has remained at 4,121 people since Saturday. The number of miners from this company who defeated the coronavirus has not changed the past day and is 4038 (approx. 98%), as has the number of employees in quarantine – 43.
Until Saturday, in the private Silesia mine in Czechowice-Dziedzice, a total of 298 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were recorded – since Tuesday, there were no new infections. 217 people (almost 73 percent) recovered – two convalescents have arrived since Saturday. 81 people are still ill. 23 employees of the plant are in quarantine.
In total, according to Saturday’s data from coal companies, 8,000 have been infected with the coronavirus since the beginning of the epidemic. 184 miners from PGG, JSW, Węglokoks Kraj (where everyone has recovered) and the private Silesia mine. About 90 percent. those infected have recovered.
